Will my health insurance pay for Dietitian or Lactation Consultant services?
Nutrition and Lactation services are private pay only. Some insurances may reimburse for services. An invoice will be provided to submit for insurance reimbursement. Please check with your health insurance provider beforehand.
How much does a session cost and what forms of payment does One Point Nutrition and Lactation Services accept?
In-home lactation consultations are 90 Euros per hour and online consultations are 80 Euros per hour. Typically the initial visit lasts 60-90 minutes depending on the complexity of the breastfeeding issues. In-home nutrition visits are 90 Euros per hour and 80 Euros per hour online. Group classes are 60 Euros per family. Cash or bank transfer is accepted.

Earn a bachelor’s degree with courses accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

Complete extensive supervised practice experiences at one or more health-care facilities, community agencies and/or foodservice corporations.

Successfully complete a national Registered Dietitian (RD) examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

What is an IBCLC?
Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are specially trained and qualified to assist with every aspect of breastfeeding. IBCLCs train for 2-5+ years, and must complete 90 hours of lactation-specific education and 300-1,000 hands-on clinical hours. To maintain their accreditation, IBCLCs must earn their recertification every five years. The International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) represents the "gold standard" in lactation consultant credentialing. Look for this credential when seeking the assistance of a lactation consultant in order to ensure the highest level of training, experience, and expertise.
